Optimal Nutrition

Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.

Bio-individual Clinical Assessment

My name is John and I am a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) having graduated with the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA), I have completed the Inneractive Healing Systems – Art of Muscle Testing training programme and I also have a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology.

Having spent over 20 years working with soil and plant nutrition in Agriculture it became a logical step to see how it affected the body.

The NTA training programme focuses on the foundation of optimal health – Digestion, Blood Sugar Regulation, Fatty Acids, Minerals and Hydration with a grounding in anatomy, physiology and the biochemistry of nutrition leading to the paradigm of eating a whole food, properly prepared, nutrient dense diet.

The uniqueness of the NTA course is based on the bio-individual clinical assessment which forms the basis of the tailored health programme I will create with you. The evaluation highlights any imbalances within the body and specifically what is required to return it back to balance.

This is the key area for me, not prescribing pre-determined diets and food but nutrients and supplements that are specifically identified by the innate knowledge of your body.

This clinical assessment is a powerful tool in creating a unique bio-individual approach to help you achieve optimal health in the shortest space of time.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioners work on a bio-individual human physiology and function basis everyday – as we are all different. Two clients may have the same symptoms but the actual cause can be totally different, hence the one size doesn’t fit all approach.

Many people wonder what nutrition has to do with your current health concerns, here’s a simple explanation. It is all based on a cellular level. We have trillions of cells and they all need nutrients to function – therefore they can only function as well as the nutrients they receive. Some nutrients may be deficient due to the diet or increasingly some foods can be damaging at a cellular level e.g. trans fats which damage cell membranes. Our role is to assist you to re-establish cellular health, correct any dysfunction and return you to optimal health.

What we offer is a bio-individual approach to heal the body and return it to balance “homeostasis” from the inside out.

The body has an incredible ability to heal providing we create the correct environment for this to happen – reducing stress, eating mindfully, providing the required nutrients, allowing it to detox naturally through quality sleep are all essential components we will work on.

We want to work with you to create the most vibrant, energetic and healthy version of yourself.

Nutrition Therapy is a very comprehensive functional approach where we will work very closely to find and address ‘the cause’ of your health issues (not just the symptoms).

We will construct a bio-individual plan specifically for you to attain the best version of you in the shortest possible time.
